Roald Dahl Day

On 13th September 2016 Balgreen Primary School took part in Roald Dahl Day, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of the famous author

. Pupils and staff came to school dressed as their favourite character – there were lots of BFGs, Matilda’s, giant peaches, Willy Wonkas, witches, enormous crocodiles and fantastic Mr Foxes! We came together to celebrate in a whole school assembly and in class children have been reading Roald Dahl novels, creating poems based on Dirty Beasts Rhymes and making an enormous crocodile to decorate the Early Years corridor.
